More Bathroom Remodeling Tips and Tricks

  • Add recesses and niches: Save room in small spaces by building in instead of out. Built in medicine cabinets, soap dishes, and even toilet roll holders can make a huge difference in a small space.
  • Add Plants: Place can add much needed color in a sterile space
  • Choose the right flooring: Hard wood floors are a classic to any home, but you might want to rethink putting them in your new bathroom. Opt for a more durable option such as tile, vinyl, or laminate for better wear and tear.
  • Choose the Right Color For your Space Certain colors can make your small space look much larger. For a small bathroom use colors on the white or light spectrum.
  • Lighting Matters: In a space for people are primarily looking at themselves, doing hair, makeup, etc. it is important to not have too harsh of a light. Softer lighting that mimics natural lighting from outside is a great option for a Bathroom.
  • Add More Mirrors: Not only are mirrors visually appealing in a bathroom but also provide more light. Leave space behind mirrors to allow airflow and prevent mold buildup.
  • Choose Your Paint Wisely: Regular paint doesn’t always cut it in a room that has lots of water circulating. Home improvement stores sell brands specifically for bathrooms that prevent pealing and bubbling from all the built up steam a bathroom gets.
  • Make Outlets Accessible: Strategically place your outlets in cabinets and near vanities for optimal usage
  • Invest In a good Bathroom Fan: Lots of steam builds up in a bathroom and overtime can ruin fixtures. Investing in a good fan can mitigate wear and tear from steam on your appliances
